Sermon: The Terror and Joy of the Resurrection
Summary: Have we become comfortable with Easter?  The resurrection of Jesus was something that caused Jesus' followers to be startled, frightened, troubled, feel joy, and marvel.  In Luke 24:37-43, Jesus shows how we must not spiritualize his resurrection as a inspiring story of new beginnings.  Jesus' resurrection brings either terror or joy.  The search for meaning is over.  The resurrection calls for decision and repentance.  Jesus is alive and we can have him through faith.
