Sermon: Part 3: Tearing Down the Temple Complex

Summary: An argument over a church building is what got Jesus killed.  Jesus made clear that he did not come to destroy architecture but he did come to destroy the temple complex.  Historically, Christianity never erected temples, but it did revert back to a mentality of viewing religion to a specific location.  In Acts 17, Paul exposes the problems with this way of thinking.  The temple complex separates the sacred from the secular, isolates awareness of God to one location, and warps Christianity into an institution rather than an organic body of believers.
