Sermon Title: Part 1: Beyond Outer Appearances

Summary:  When churches look for leaders, what should we look for?  When the prophet Samuel came to Jesse's house looking for the next king of Israel, God demonstrated that the obvious choices may not be the right leaders for God's people.  We must look beyond outer appearances and look at the heart of a prospective leader.  Spiritual shepherds are men who have a heart for people, who are filled with the Spirit, and chase after the heart of God.
