Sermon: Part 3: When Families are Hurting

Summary: Pain and difficultly comes to all families.  What help does Jesus provide when families are hurting?  Jesus' interaction with a hurting family in John 11 provides tremendous insight.  Rather than waiting until the storm comes, we must invite Jesus into our families as a friend in the days of sunshine.  Jesus demonstrates that not all hurting people in families can be handled the same way; some need truth others compassion.  If allowed to enter, Jesus writes himself into the story of our families and provides sympathy in our pain and hope for a brighter future.
