Sermon Title: The Mind of Christ

Summary:   Who was Jesus and what was the intention of his life?  In this section in Paul’s letter to the Philippians he seems to quote from an early Christian hymn in praise of Christ.  Jesus came to pay the price to reconcile us to God, but his humble example is the means of reconciling us to one another as well.  Humility is the gateway to unity.  As Paul encourages these believers to be unified (2:1-2), he urges them to adopt the mind of Christ toward one another, a mind of humility, sacrifice, and service.  What would it look like if we each possessed the mind of Christ toward others?
