Sermon Title: Part 2: The Comfort of a Rod and Staff

Summary:  Shepherds in the middle east carried both a rod and staff while watching over sheep.  The rod is a symbol of strength and leadership.  The staff is a symbol of concern, compassion and care for the sheep.  In 1 Thessalonians 5:12-14, Scripture shows that church leaders should be respected and loved when they are involved in the work of protecting and loving the people they lead.
