Summary: Connection with God is something we must seek and desire.  Before we are ready to connect with him in prayer we must prepare our hearts.  Meditation is the “pre-prayer work” that we must do to cultivate our inner selves.  Psalm 1 is a meditation on meditation and its promises and benefits.
