Sermon: (Part 3) Collecting for a Cause
Summary: As Paul went on his missionary journeys, he continually urged churches to contribute toward a special fundraising effort to help poor saints in Jerusalem (1 Cor. 16:1-2).  Paul encouraged believers to put something aside and store it up on the first day of every week to contribute toward this need.  This collection was not a "command" but was an act of grace motivated by love (2 Cor. 8:7-8).  One of the great motivations of generosity is seeing a genuine need.
